AusGuard ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's GPS location to provide localised weather, air quality, fire incident, UV index, and emergency alerts. Location data is processed on your device and transmitted to our servers solely for fetching relevant data from Australian government sources (Bureau of Meteorology, state fire services, and environmental protection agencies).
Device Token: If you opt into push notifications, we store an anonymous device token to deliver severe weather, fire, and flood alerts. No personal information is associated with this token.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the app. No personally identifiable information is collected.
All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. Weather and alert data is cached temporarily to ensure service reliability. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

You can withdraw location permissions or disable push notifications at any time via your device settings. To request deletion of any stored data, contact us via the support page.
AusGuard is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
